HelpBook.info – Investor Media Group’s new online platform for civil signals

2018-03-06

Investor Media Group set up a new and free of charge web platform for civil signals, called HelpBook.info, which serves as a space for public communication between citizens and institutions in Bulgaria. The platform facilitates people from all parts of the country to send online signals, as well as gives transparency and publicity to the work, executed by the Bulgarian institutions, in resolving the reported problems. HelpBook.info is an online “counter”, where anyone can directly report any wrong-doing, to a large number of institutions. For user convenience, the process of sending a signal is simplified to the maximum. Every reported signal, along with the answers given by institutions, are displayed publicly and can be viewed, shared and supported by all other users of the platform. In return, HelpBook.info expects to be informed by those institutions about their solutions regarding the reported wrong-doings. All signals made by citizens will also be publicly supported by the leading news website Dnes.bg, as well as by national television Bulgaria ON AIR. The web platform, which is part of Investor Media Group, is created with the financial support of Google’s innovation fund for digital media. Right now, the website gives citizens the possibility to report signals to twenty four state institutions, in addition to a large number of municipalities, for which a populated place needs to be selected first. More regional and national institutions, to which users could report directly via the online service HelpBook.info, will be added to the platform in the coming time.
